A box installed at home
You install a box and a smart camera at your loved one’s home, guided step by step by the app. The images are analysed on site, inside the box, not in the cloud.
Vigeos detects falls in the home of your older loved ones and immediately alerts the family on their phones, with a video clip end-to-end encrypted at home.
Three steps, and nothing for the person being monitored to do.

If there is a fall, every member of the family receives a notification on their phone, with the emergency number one tap away. The encrypted video clip of the incident is attached to the alert.
From the app, follow the alerts, watch a camera live, schedule camera pauses and set the notifications. The day’s activity, the inactivity watch and night-time monitoring are in development.
Everything needed to watch over someone, nothing that feels like being watched. Features marked “in development” are not available yet: they become part of the subscription when they are released (article 3.2 of the terms of sale).
Artificial intelligence recognises a fall and raises the alert, day and night, with no button to wear.
The clip of the incident is encrypted at home for the family’s phones. Our servers store it without being able to read it.
A live camera feed, opened from the app by family members only: image only, no sound, and every opening written to the family’s log.
In development. No movement during the day for several hours? The family is told. The threshold is set in the app.
In development. During chosen hours, getting up or wandering at night triggers a gentle alert.
Washing, visits, naps: during the hours you set, the box neither analyses nor records any image, and live view does not open.
This is Vigeos’s founding commitment. Each video clip is encrypted at home, before it is sent, for the family’s phones: our servers store content they cannot read. Its limit is written just below.
One limit, which we prefer to write down: our server is what tells the box which phones belong to the family, and the box encrypts for each of them without being able to check. A compromised server, a third party able to change its answers, or we ourselves by changing it, could therefore add a key and read the following clips; those already stored remain unreadable. We plan for every new key to be countersigned by the family’s phones and checked by the box.
One offer, no surprises: the kit (box and camera) is offered on Kickstarter, from €349 for the first 20 backers then €399, and the subscription pays for the service.

The smart camera detects the fall and every member of the family immediately receives a notification on their phone. The alert puts the emergency number at hand so you can act without delay. A family member taps “I’m on it” so that everyone knows the alert is being taken care of. The encrypted video clip of the incident is attached to the alert, and each family member can watch the camera live from the app.
No pendant to wear and no button to press: fall detection is automatic, even if the person is unconscious or cannot press anything. And the alert does not go through a call centre: it arrives straight on the family’s phones, with the video clip of the incident to assess the situation.
Only the family members invited on the account. Video clips are end-to-end encrypted on the box: our servers store them without being able to read them. There is one limit, though: our server is what tells the box which phones belong to the family, so a compromised server, a third party able to change its answers, or we ourselves by changing it, could add a key and read the following clips. Countersigning of keys by the family’s phones is planned. Live view is encrypted from the box to the phone, with a limit of the same kind: the connection is set up through our server, which could step in between if it were compromised or modified (article 11.5 of the terms of sale).
The first time you use it, the app gives you a 12-word recovery phrase to write down on paper. On a new phone, this phrase restores access to your videos. Without it (and this is deliberate) nobody can recover them, not even us.
The analysis happens at home and only events produce a clip. During programmable camera pauses (washing, visits…), the box neither analyses nor records any image, and live view does not open.
An internet connection and a power socket. You install the box and the camera yourself: the app guides you at every step, and it tells the family if the equipment goes offline.
€29.99 per month for the service, paid from the first month. The kit (box and camera) is offered on Kickstarter: €399 with one camera (€349 for the first 20 backers), €429 or €459 with two or three cameras. One camera is included in the subscription; each extra camera costs €5 more per month. No commitment: you cancel at any time from the app, in two taps. Monitoring continues until the end of the month already paid, then stops.
The first kits are offered through Vigeos's Kickstarter campaign, which opens on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at 3 pm Paris time. Delivery is planned for the third quarter of 2027. Do you represent a care home in France? Request a demonstration (in French).
Yes. The app follows your phone’s language, English or French, and you can change it in the app under Account, Appearance. Alerts, emails and the box screen follow the same language. The French version of our terms of sale and privacy policy is the one that prevails; the English pages are translations.
